La La Land's Acetate is an imprint that knows what it likes. There's a lot of patron saint Johnny Thunders; it's a squalling six-string line that goes, historically, from Chuck Berry to Rolling Stones (Sonny Vincent punks up the Stones' cover of Berry's "Carol" with Arthur Kane's finale on bass), to Kane and Thunders' New York Dolls (The Hangmen, as produced by Social Distortion's Mike Ness) and Thunders' Heartbreakers - plus understudies The Joneses (Nine Pound Hammer) - to Dead Kennedys (Charley Horse), to Social D (Turbo A.C's); there's also hints of Aerosmith and AC/DC (Rhino Bucket).
